acupuncture, Chinese medicine and skincare. We have teamed up with Graeme McCracken to offer you professional advice on cosmetic facial acupuncture, the most sought after natural non-surgical facelift available today. Graeme will talk through the treatment and demonstrate how it works, using the finest steel needles and the added benefits when combined with infrared therapy. Sophia Woods will give demonstrations and skincare advice on the amazing effect of Skin Needling. This method provides amazing results with a safe and simple treatment. Skin Needling is the latest skin renewal technique to restore the healthy youthful appearance of your skin producing similar results to Dermabrasion, Lasers and Deep Chemical Peels, but is much less invasive. There are so many questions....Do they work? Are they really necessary? Will normal moisturiser not do?
The fact is the first signs of ageing appear around the eyes. The eye area has the most delicate and thin skin, it does not have sebaceous glands therefore becomes dehydrated and crepy much quicker than the rest of the face.
What you should know.... is that using your daily moisturiser around your eyes is not acceptable. It is much too heavy and will cause dragging and possible clogging which can result in puffiness. Over a prolonged period of time the skin will stretch and you will have fabulous fine lines.
So I now move on to what you should be using.. eyecream/eye serums, they are specailly desiged to stay put where you apply them and that is around the eye not into the eye.
Anti ageing eye products should be used from the age of 25 years to slow down the onset of potential fine lines and wrinkles... not forgetting squinting this is a crime and you should have your eyes tested to avoid such side effects from squinting. Graeme McCracken, Acupuncturist
Gong Tui Na (energetic oriental Massage); he has studied Energetic Nutrition and Cosmetic Acupuncture through postgraduate courses, apprenticeships and supervision. His main Oriental medical training occurred in London with additional studies in Hong Kong, New York and China. After qualifying he worked in the NHS. This experience continues to influence his practice.
Graeme specialises in the use of acupuncture, Tui Na massage, cosmetic
acupuncture, electro acupuncture, nutrition, cupping, moxabustion and auricular
(ear) acupuncture.
These disciplines are used individually or in combination to treat a variety of conditions such as loss of facial tone, lines and wrinkles, dental pain, nausea and vomiting, provide short-term relief of tension type headaches and provide temporary adjunctive treatment for osteoarthritic knee pain.
